Art Chronicles: I ran across the photo on my friend @lauricewilliamson ‘s post the other day. I’ve been wanting to draw Christ but it hadn’t happened yet. I wanted it to be a smiling, kind face… because that’s how I see Him. Loving us all … even when we screw up. 😉. He’s forgiving and knows what we mean even when we cannot say it very eloquently. He sees our hearts more keenly than we do. ‘Jesus said love everyone, treat them kindly too…’ The words from a Sunday school song is just simple truth. Let’s not ever let that message get lost in the melee. It does not mean to stay silent. He did not. We must not. Even when people do not agree with us or we with them. We ARE NOT saviors… but as disciples, we follow His lead. PS. If you know the photographer let me know – if it is still missing the credit here and I will remedy that.
