Art Chronicle Confessions: So, I’ve neglected my art ‘therapy’ for almost two months. 🙈 I kept putting it off. Even though I’d made a separate creative space with easy access to whatever resources I had. I got stuck in my comfort zone ‘planning’… which is not bad, unless you get stuck there. Waiting to get it all ‘perfect’. Of course I know that’s not ever gonna happen. I’m grateful to be more aware of my patterns. I knew I needed to go back to basics… and realize that’s totally OK. Life is like that. Give ourselves and others some compassion and just start again, as often as needed. Grateful that we have the option. Learn from the experience. Thanks to @thebirdsbestlife for the initial intro to the #soulscribble which provides a jumping off place to be creative, in a zero expectation way. Thus, we end up with a zany piece I think looks a bit like a Aztec Gremlin with a surfboard 🤷🏻‍♀️😂. Fun thing about these is that they morph. What do you see? Additional thanks to @janeseymour who shared her experience with scribble art recently. It was just the right nudge I needed to start again.
